group dog training

Learn Together. Practice in the Real World. Build Better Habits.

Our Small Group Dog Training Classes provide a supportive, structured environment where you and your dog can learn and practice around real-life distractions.

Unlike large traditional group classes, we intentionally keep our groups small—typically 2–4 dogs, depending on the location and available space. Smaller classes allow for more individual attention while still giving your dog the valuable experience of learning around other dogs and people.

Classes are held at an agreed-upon community location, such as a local park, training space, studio, office, or other appropriate setting.

Whether you’re working on basic manners, leash skills, focus, or learning to work around distractions, our small-group format gives you hands-on guidance while helping your dog practice skills in a real-world environment.

All new clients must complete our New Client Form before scheduling training services.

Our program includes:

  • – 5 weeks of small-group training
  • – Typically 2–4 dogs per class

  • – Positive reinforcement-based training

  • – Hands-on coaching for both you and your dog
  • – Practice around dogs, people, and real-world distractions
  • – Guidance you can continue using at home between classes

Is Group Training Right for My Dog?

Group training can be an excellent option for dogs who already have enough comfort and self-control to learn while other dogs and people are nearby.

Your dog does not need to be perfectly trained before joining a group class. That’s why you’re coming to training!

However, your dog does need to be able to safely participate in a shared environment.

Group classes are about more than teaching cues. They give you an opportunity to practice your dog’s skills when the world around them isn’t perfectly quiet or predictable.

When Group Training May NOT Be the Right Fit

Not every dog learns best in a group environment—and that’s okay.

For the safety and comfort of every dog and handler, some behaviors may require private training or a consultation before joining a group class.

Group training may not be appropriate for dogs currently displaying:

  • – Aggression toward dogs or people

  • – A history of biting or attempted biting

  • – Severe dog or human reactivity

  • – Lunging, snapping, or charging toward other dogs

  • – Resource guarding that could create a safety concern

  • – Extreme fear, panic, or shutdown around unfamiliar dogs or people

  • – Inability to safely maintain distance from other dogs

  • – Behavior that prevents the dog or other participants from safely learning

Reactivity doesn't automatically mean group training isn't an option. The type and severity of the behavior matters. If you're unsure, we'll help determine the safest and most productive training environment for your dog.

Not Sure Group Training Is the Right Fit?

Start with a Dog Training Consultation. We’ll meet you and your dog, discuss your goals and concerns, and help determine which training environment is most appropriate. We may recommend small-group training, private training, Walk & Train, or another available service.

Group Dog Training FAQs

Our group classes are intentionally small and typically include 2–4 dogs, depending on the training location, available space, and the needs of the dogs participating.

Locations vary. Classes may take place at a local park, studio, office, community space, or another agreed-upon training location. Location information will be provided when classes are scheduled.

Not necessarily. Group classes are designed for learning! However, your dog must be able to safely participate around other dogs and people.

It depends on the type and severity of the reactivity. Mild excitement or distraction around other dogs may be workable in a small-group environment. Dogs displaying significant reactivity, aggression, lunging, snapping, or other safety concerns may need private training first.

Wolf Pack Dog Training uses positive reinforcement-based dog training to help dogs learn desired behaviors while strengthening communication between dogs and their handlers.

That’s exactly why we encourage clients who are unsure to begin with a consultation. We can evaluate your goals and your dog’s needs and recommend a training option that provides a more appropriate learning environment.

Our 5-week Small Group Dog Training Program is $500. A 30% deposit ($150) is required to reserve your spot. The remaining balance may be paid throughout the program and must be paid in full by the final class.
