day training
Focused Training. Enrichment. Real-Life Skills.
Sometimes your dog needs more than a traditional training session.
Wolf Pack Dog Training’s Day Training is a private, four-hour training experience where your dog spends dedicated time with Becky at her home, working on practical skills through structured training, enrichment, movement, engagement, and rest.
Instead of you staying for the training session, you drop your dog off with Becky and she does the hands-on work.
Each Day Training session is intentionally structured around your dog’s individual needs, training goals, personality, and progress.

What Is Day Training?
Day Training gives your dog several hours of individualized training with Becky without the distractions of a traditional group setting.
Throughout the four-hour session, training is broken into manageable periods of activity, enrichment, walking, potty breaks, and rest. Your dog isn’t expected to train continuously for four hours—rest is an important part of learning.
Depending on your dog’s needs and goals, training may include:
- – Leash manners
- – Engagement with the handler
- – Impulse control
- – Confidence building
- – Focus around distractions
- – Basic manners
- – Positive reinforcement training
- – Mental enrichment
- – Appropriate settling and downtime
- – Real-world skills
The goal is productive training without overwhelming your dog.
What Does a 4-Hour Day Training Session Include?
Every dog is different, so the exact flow of the session may vary. However, each four-hour Day Training session includes a combination of structured training, enrichment, movement, and rest.
Individual Training
Skills personalized to your dog’s training plan.
30-Minute Walk
Leash manners, engagement, focus and real-world practice.
Enrichment
Mental stimulation, problem-solving and appropriate exploration.
Four 15-Minute Breaks
Potty, water, rest and decompression.
Day Training Is More Than Dog Daycare
Day Training and traditional dog daycare serve very different purposes.
Your dog isn’t simply coming to Becky’s home to spend the day, play, or burn off energy.
This is a training service.
Your dog’s four-hour session is intentionally structured around training, enrichment, movement, and appropriate rest. Training, enrichment, walking, breaks, and rest are intentionally incorporated to help your dog learn while keeping the experience manageable.
While physical activity is part of the day, the goal isn’t to send home an exhausted dog.
The goal is to send home a dog who has practiced useful skills and had a productive learning experience.
How Do I Know If My Dog Would Benefit From Day Training?
Day Training can be a great option for dogs who would benefit from more concentrated professional training and repetition than a shorter appointment provides.
Your dog may benefit from Day Training if they:
Would benefit from structured mental enrichment
Need help learning how to settle between activities
Have training skills that need strengthening
Need help developing better leash manners
Struggle to stay engaged with their handler
Need practice with impulse control
Lack confidence in new situations
Is easily distracted
Need additional repetition to build new skills
Day Training can also be helpful for owners who understand what they want their dog to work on but need additional professional training between the work they’re doing at home.
Is Day Training Right for Every Dog?
Day Training isn’t the right environment for every dog. Because your dog will be dropped off at Becky’s home without you present, participating dogs must be able to safely and comfortably work in this setting.
Dogs with significant separation distress, aggression, bite histories, severe reactivity, or other behaviors that may create a safety concern may require additional evaluation or a different training approach.
That’s why we recommend a Dog Training Consultation for new clients before enrolling in Day Training.
Current Wolf Pack client? Becky may already have enough familiarity with your dog to determine whether Day Training is appropriate.
Day Training FAQs
Where does Day Training take place?
Day Training takes place at Becky’s home. Drop-off and pick-up information is provided to scheduled clients.
Do I stay with my dog during Day Training?
No. Day Training is a drop-off service where Becky works individually with your dog during the four-hour session.
How many Day Training sessions does my dog need?
That depends on your dog’s needs and training goals. Packages include two, four, or six sessions with once-weekly or twice-weekly scheduling. Becky can help determine which option is most appropriate.
Does my dog train for four hours straight?
No—and we wouldn’t want them to.
Dogs need opportunities to rest and decompress between training activities. The four-hour session incorporates shorter periods of training, enrichment, movement, and structured downtime rather than continuous training.

Which Day Training Package Should I Choose?
You don’t have to figure that out on your own.
The appropriate package depends on your dog, the behaviors you’re working on, your training goals, and how much professional support would be beneficial.
For some dogs, weekly sessions provide plenty of time to practice at home between appointments.
For others, working with Becky twice per week may provide more consistency and repetition while new skills are being developed.
Becky can recommend an appropriate schedule after learning more about you and your dog.
